Skinvive bumps still here - is there a chance they are permanent?

It has been almost 6 months since I had Skinvive. The bumps are still here even as the somewhat filler effect of skinvive has mostly gone away. Needless to say, I look much worse than before the procedure. I had saline injected to try to get rid of the bumps but it did nothing. Is there a chance they are permanent. They are slightly less noticeable now but about one dozen remain.

Hi daisy rosie jones!I am sorry to hear about the bumps. (Since I cannot do an examination on you in person nor see your pictures - I am not positively sure if they are bumps from your Skinvive session.) To answer your question, Skinvive is a cross linked hyaluronic acid skinbooster. So if you want to dissolve it one should be using hyaluronidase rather than saline. However, assuming your physician used saline - may be you didn't get Skinvive but a skinbooster that is made up of PDLLA (poly lactic acid). Also there may be other reasons for your bumps. So I recommend you to visit a physician with a lot of clinical experience. I hope this helped. Good luck!

These bumps could be Skinvive or more like some fibrosis that has developed. A high-resolution ultrasound examination by an experienced and competent medical aesthetics expert could help solve the problem, as there are a number of adverse event management possibilities. Please have your injector or HCP to reach out to AbbVie Allergan, the maker of Skinvive, they can help you from there.
If you still have them after more than a year by now, it is likely to be fibrosis.
