What happened with my jelly roll Botox? (Photo)

Hi, so in your before photo, it looks like the "jelly roll" is coming from the orbicularis muscle that naturally enlarges as you smile or animate. When that muscle is botoxed, there is a chance that the connective tissue framework that holds the fat pads back is weakened and so the fat pads are even more visible. Would suggest not doing the jelly roll botox anymore and see if that helps. Please visit an experienced oculofacial plastic surgeon for best results.

Botox effects are temporary. The results wear off gradually typically over three to four months. Eye bags can be treated both surgically and non surgically depending on patient goals and the severity of the condition. See a board certified plastic surgeon near you to learn more.

In my 43 years and specifically 20+ years doing Botox I’ve never seen Botox injections under the eyelids cause eyebags. You either have eyebags or you do not. Best to do virtual in person consultation for examination by board certified plastic facial plastic or ocular plastic surgeons. Whether the Botox is present or wears off, will not affect eye bags.
