What can I do to help improve Minoxidil absorption?

Hello, currently 5 months on minoxidil and 1 year on finasteride, i got an oily scalp and it seems that the minox doesn’t absorb if I’m using a regular shampoo, because I’m waking up with bald spots the next day. For a good absorption i have to either use micro needling before the minoxidil/ or shampoo with Head and shoulders, which also give me side effects of fatigue and migraines. So I’m stuck. I want to quit the minoxidil, but afraid to lose more than baseline. What can i do? Thanks.

Hello and thank you for your question.  I would recommend you take a low dose of Minoxidil orally.  You should see better results.  Best of luck to you.

Hello I'm Dr. Wipawan Vathananai, a co-worker of Dr. Kulakarn Amonpattana, from BHI Clinic, Bangkok, Thailand. In case you use topical minoxidil and still do not get the satisfied results. I would recommend you to take oral low-dose minoxidil since it is more effective.
