The implants are in the #7 and #9 teeth. The reason for my slight concern is whether or not this procedure is highly successful or should I have gone with option #2 ( six tooth bridge from K9 to K9) Might I also add that I've had a conventional bridge for about 13 years before the supporting teeth broke on me
Answer: Bridge vs implants ... #DrSoftTouch Hello Steve,In your case, I would probably recommend a 6 unit bridge, depending on your xrays. This is because you would have the two canines and one lateral incisor holding the bridge for tooth spaces 7-9. I would recommend a bridge containing zirconium. The only think that I would do differently, is get regular check-ups by your dentist every 6 months, to avoid having decay buildup and destroy your teeth that are anchoring the bridge. I would expect about the same structural integrity in both the 6 unit bridge and the 3 unit bridge on implants. Good luck and I hope this helps. Answer: Implants or Bridge When properly placed and restored, dental implants have a very high success rate and do tend to last a long time. Implants are also the option that feels most like your own natural teeth Today, it's often better and less expensive long term to have successful implants rather than complicated dentistry on questionable teeth. An implant could be the least expensive and most reliable option for you long term.

Answer: Bridge vs implants Your bone must be evaluated for thickness to achieve optimal esthetic results. From the picture you may need bone grafting. Implants do not decay while with a bridge you may get decay. The bridge is a quick fix. If you decide to get implants, crown your lateral incisor, this way the four front teeth look equal in color.

Answer: 3 tooth implant bridge sucess rate In answer to your question I can offer the following: If the bone width and height was carefully measured for the two implants placed and they fully secured themselves into the bone over approximately 6 months then a final fixed 3 tooth bridge (properly designed against your bite and chewing habits) should last as long as any other properly constructed bridge. Usual time span is 10-20 years. The implant supported bridge is free from decay problems but not gum problems....so take good effort in home care and have regular check-ups. Since you did not indicate when placed or if you had a provisional removable bridge or an immediate loaded temporary fixed bridge, I am unable to address those aspects.
