Hi there I just got my crown placed today on my implant site and feel like my gum line is too low. It is not symmetrical with the tooth on the other side of my mouth and is noticeable from the front when I smile. My dentist briefly mentioned in the chair that the gumline would recede a tiny bit with time. Can anybody verify this? I've been having trouble finding my exact concern on the Internet. Is there any other procedure or option? I should ask for when I visit him next.?

Hello. This shape of the crown on your dental implant is probably due to the depth of the implant in the bone and unfortunately, this differently aligned gingival appearance cannot be lost without adjustments to the bone, not the gum. Of course, I cannot comment on the amount of bone you have and the position of the implant since there is no x-ray.
