Teeth whitening before braces?

I'm getting braces put on in a few weeks, but I really want to get rid of plaque buildup and possibly a whitening before braces. Should I? Are whitening trays any good while wearing braces? Thanks for the advice!!

If you think your teeth are yellow and want them to look better before placing your braces, have the teeth cleaned to remove any plaque and stain. If you feel they still do not look as white as you would like, you can try Crest White strips of have whitening trays made. As as soon as you begin the braces, your whitening Texas will not fit. They will not fit after you finish braces either. If if you are doing Invisalign, you could use whitening gel in you Invisalign trays as you straighten.
