Can I minimize the side effects of Finasteride by taking 1.25 mg pills every other day?

I'm planning to begin with finasteride treatment, but I worry about side effects! Does a lower dose of finasteride will minimize the possible side effects of the drug? Do you have any recommendation to alleviate the side effects?

Y0ou should start treatments for genetic hair loss or telogen loss which occurs with isotretinoin sometimes. I suggest seeing an expert.  Best, Dr.  Emer.

Finasteride can be taken at anytime of the day.  It can be taken with or without food.  It will not lose its effectiveness if taken at different times.  The only advice I have would be to take it at the same time everyday.
