I have been having hair shedding on and off for years now. Currently going through massive shedding right now (one of the worst I can remember). Before I noticed only thinning on the front and crown. Now, I am noticing it more on the sides. No one has unpatterned alopecia in my family, I just have a few uncles w/ MPB. Can unpatterned alopecia still be inherited spontaneously like this or will it (hopefully) follow what my uncles have? Would like to eventually get a hair transplant if possible.

You might try topical minoxidil and see if this brings back your hair. Are you confident that this was lost from an accident as it looks like it might be your age and that facial hair might sooner or later grow.
It is extremely rare for finasteride to have effects on muscle but not impossible. Most males do not have any such muscle issues as you describe. Taking aromatase inhibitors is certainly not advised.
