Six years ago I extracted four bicuspid premolars in order to create more space for my teeth to align. Seven years down the road, this has caused a noticeable asymmetry in my face along with vertical elongation and flat cheekbones. It has also affected my nasal breathing and posture, and I now have moderate facial pain. Also, I’m not sure whether or not this is related to the extractions, but I can move the muscles around my ear when I couldn’t before.
