Does Fraxel Re:pair Give You Chapped Lips?

I had a fraxel re:pair in october and ever since then i have had very chapped lips, i was wondering if it was the fraxel that contributed to this, I had similar experience when i was using accutane a few year back and was wondering if the fraxel is working similar to the way the accutane worked for me, which i must say was spectacular!!!!

Inherent to laser technology, is its ability to function with such high precision at skin level. Because your smile lines are caused by something deeper than a skin level occurrence, I would advise considering alternative treatments. You would be better off with a dermal filler injection....

Hi rber, It takes a few weeks after Fraxel repair for the micro-laser dots to go away (depending on the magnification mirror that you are using).  Best to be patient and follow your treating physicians instructions.  Collagen production continues for about 4 to  months...

The Fraxel Repair is an ablative lasers and repeat treatment must be handled very carefully. The Fraxel Restore is a nonablative laser and treatments are usually spaced about 2 weeks apart for a series of 3 - 5. In my practice, I prefer the Fraxel Repair for acne scars. I take photographs...

Hi, How long to avoid the sun? Forever! Just kidding. You should consult with your treating physician for the answers to thes questions. The risk of sun exposure after Fraxel repair is hyperpigmentation. I would advise you to do your running very early or at sundown with sun block and a hat....
