hello doctors, Ive been on finasteride for the past 8 months and it has been working at decreasing hair loss. Ive been also recently prescribed a low dosage of Saint John’s Wort to deal with stress. Is it true that the Saint John’s reduces the effectiveness of finasteride? I would not like to risk the hair growth I have achieved . Thank you Eli

The burn would have to be quite extensive to cause damage to the hair follicle. If you experience any mild hair fall out it will likely be temporary.. Just be a bit more careful in the next few months and brush / comb hair more gentily as it might be more fragile now.
