Your questions can’t be answered without seeing photos of your ears. Generally, it can be said that the final assessment of your ears is first possible 3 months after the operation at the earliest, but 6 months would be better still. A complete symmetry of the ears is the exception; a slight asymmetry of 2 to 3mm is the rule and should not be corrected. The wearing of a headband day and night three weeks after the operation is not expected to improve the position of the ears.

The ears should be fairly symmetric right after an otoplasty. Since you are experiencing some asymmetry, it is unlikely that there will be much improvement from wearing a headband.
