Permanent sutures were placed without cartilage removal.Since the surgery my left ear is now perfect, but my right ear sticks out several mm’s more than the left, and the shape is different too (antihelix appears absent and the tip sticks out making me look lop-eared). Other people have noticed too. Is internal swelling the cause, and will it subside? (Ears don’t look swollen). Will wearing headband day and night improve things? Would a revision be relatively simple and how soon could it be done?
