After my most recent cleaning and polish, I'm noticing texture on some of my upper front teeth that wasn't noticable before. Is this possible composite leftover from braces many years ago or enamel erosion? What can be done to fix this?

For that cephalometric analysis [skull frontal asymmetry analysis] is must to identify the cause, basis on that one can guide you. Visit orthodontist or maxillofacial surgeon.
After seeing your photos below are positive findings:
1. upper and lower arch not symmetric.
2. upper left central incisor tip is not perfect.
3. gummy smile - less crown height.
ideal option in your case is first go for crown lengthening process and after that aligner to align teeth.
Yes, you can for alignment. In such cases, the only issue is, it will result in increased/more overjet.
But with IPR, it's possible to reduce and can achieve close to the normal range.
Another issue will be upper to lower midline, it will not match. but this is not visible, so no need to worry...
