After my most recent cleaning and polish, I'm noticing texture on some of my upper front teeth that wasn't noticable before. Is this possible composite leftover from braces many years ago or enamel erosion? What can be done to fix this?

For that cephalometric analysis [skull frontal asymmetry analysis] is must to identify the cause, basis on that one can guide you. Visit orthodontist or maxillofacial surgeon.
First, why are your teeth so much proclined after braces treatment?
You are ideally all four premolar extraction case.
As not all your teeth are visible, so tell me any extractions done during your braces treatment?
After this, I can guide you for treatment and retention.
After seeing your photos below are positive findings:
1. upper and lower arch not symmetric.
2. upper left central incisor tip is not perfect.
3. gummy smile - less crown height.
ideal option in your case is first go for crown lengthening process and after that aligner to align teeth.
