I've had braces for a little over two years now. I was supposed to get surgery to fix my cross bite, but two weeks ago my oral surgeon said the surgery was no longer needed so it was canceled. Now my orthodontist is just using rubber bands to try to fix it. I'm wanting another opinion. Should the surgery have been canceled? Can just rubber bands fix this cross bite? (photo taken over two years ago but not much change since).
