Problems with bridge and bad smell? (Photos)

Hi:Sorry to hear about your problems.  I would not say this is normal.  Unfortunately without X-rays to check the fit of the bridge it is difficult to give you accurate advice.  However, the primary reason for the bad breath if the fit of the bridge is ok, is accumulation of plaque in areas of the bridge that is not being cleaned properly.  I suggest for you to get a professional cleaning and rinsing your mouth with Oral Essentials Original Formula mouthwash twice a day for 60 seconds for one month to see if you see a difference.  The Dead Sea Salt content is very helpful in controlling bad breath.Best,Dr. Maddahi

You should not have a bad smell around your bridge.  That means you have bacterial accumulation in that area of the bridge.  If you are using an ultrasonic toothbrush, flossing, and maintaining good oral hygiene techniques and still having this issue there is another problem.  You either have an open contact between two teeth causing food impaction or an area of the bridge is not sealed 100 percent.  Perhaps having another set of eyes (second opinion) look at it would be a good idea.  Best of luck.  

The bad taste coming from the area of restoration is always an indication of a local accumulation of food/bacteria. I would say get a second opinion and have another dentist examining the restorations you have.
