Question

My smile still doesn't seem big enough for my moth after a course of 6 Month Smiles, which I think turned out to be a waste of money. Should I get a course of full orthodontics (had a bite assessment prior to 6MS and was told my bite was stable) to fix this? Thank you!

Braces will only straighten teeth along your dental arch. If your smile seems narrow or doesn't fill your mouth then the problem is not with your teeth but rather with your dental arch. To have a fuller smile you would need to have a wider dental arch. This can be accomplished, but not with braces. The only way to make a dental arch wider and thus create a broader smile is to use an appliance that develops the dental arch. There are a number of good appliances that will do this. You may want to search DNA Appliance and Homeoblock appliance for ideas about how you might be able to accomplish your goals. Good luck!
