Fluid Between Tissue Expander and Skin - Should I Be Worried?

I have two areas of fluid between my breast skin and tissue expander. The exchange surgery is in eight weeks. Anyone have this and if so is it a problem? There is slight bulging in the areas of fluid.

I generally dont have my patients do any particular exercises prior to their mastectomy surgery.  What I do ask is that they stop smoking 4 weeks before the surgery and 4 weeks after the surgery and to be in generally good shape. Good luck.

Everyone is different, but you probably need around 450cc-500cc to get into that nice C range. It is different from a breast augmentation, where 500cc would make someone a DD. When you take all the tissue away, it requires a fair amount more in terms of volume to get you where you want to be....

It is pretty common to be uncomfortable while the expansion process is ongoing. When you change to implants they are much softer and move with the body better than the expanders. I agree that putting the final implants above the muscle is probably not a good idea unless you have very thick...
