Although every person is different, the chance of teeth shifting over a 3 day period is pretty remote. You may find that the retainer goes in with more force when you are trying to put it back in but it only means that the teeth have shifted and the retainer will nudge them back into their position.
There is no discussion about options for taking care of a child's broken tooth for many reasons. Doing a nice conservative filling with tooth colored plastic(bonding) is perfect. Eventually you will need to redo the bonding but you may also want to whiten and other care once they grow up....

Unfortunately the only solution its grinding the 4 anterior teeth, and performing porcelain veneers ,only if you want them to look nice and even, and I say 4 because the laterals need to be filed down as well , so they would distribute the tooth contour. I hope this helps.
