I had a dental implant on my front tooth placed 6 months ago. My oral surgeon told me to wait 6 months to get my permanent crown however he never mentioned anything about a healing abutment. I have the gum healed over the implant site there is nothing sticking out. I have been using a flipper and hate it and want to get my crown now. Will my dentist need to put in an abutment and then I need to wait more to get my crown? Or can he do it all at the same time?
