Does this look like a healthy open wound? (Photos)

Question

My nipple was very hard and black after my reduction.. The scalp came off and it had a foul smell. Went to the doctor yesterday and my PS got all the scalp and dead tissue out of the wound. It hasn't been 24 hrs and it seems like it's turning back black. I'm worried, Please help!. (Photos)

Dear lolo7806,based on your photos, it looks like your surgeon removed all the dead tissue and your wound looks clean. I suggest you to follow his instructions and keep the wound clean. It will probably take few weeks or months until the wound completely heals. Daniel Barrett, MD
