PRK day 7 - contact bandage was put back on because I have epithelium not healed. Is this normal?

I had PRK surgery 7 days ago, I went to my second follow up appt. yesterday and the doctor took out the contact bandage, he said there was epithelium left around the eye and I was going to feel like a had dirt in my eye which I did, my eye got very watery and burning like sensation. He put the contact back on and said to leave it for two more days. I am still using the steroid drops and today they started to hurt my eye when I apply them. I feels like something is stabbing my eye.

FML can be stopped after 2 weeks if there is no inflammation.  You are getting a toxicity from the drops most probably from the preservatives.  I would suggest you stop the drops and see your Eye Surgeon as soon as possible

Overcorrections of that much are rare so it's probably too soon to worry. There many cornea and even lens based solutions so be patient and good luck.

ICL cant use wavefront technology to address HOA which is what you have, so you need a wavefront LASEK over your prior ICL, dont get PRK that is an archaic version of LASEK that hurts and lot and may scar

It's uncommon but happens perhaps 1% of the time or less. Hopefully you had a true cycloplegic exam before your surgery. You need another one now to know what's going on for sure. It should be easy to correct.

It is not usual to have some image ghosting early in the healing period. This can last 2-3 months. If it persists after that period then a wavefront evaluation to detect aberration in your focusing would be indicated. Custom retreatment could then address the issues.

It is normal for the vision to fluctuate after PRK. I would still recommend seeing your doctor to make sure the eye is healing appropriately.
