Will I get finasteride shedding after only 2 weeks after discontinuing medication?

I have had to stop taking finasteride due to side effects after only 2 weeks. I have read that finasteride can cause increased temporary shedding after several months of use. As I have stopped early am I likely to have any increased shedding?

That is hard to say. Patients have had shedding when initially starting to take Finasteride. Patients who have been taking Finasteride for several months or longer and decide to taking the medication for one reason or another have also experienced some significant shedding. If you had only been taking the Finasteride for a short period of time then you may not experience too much shedding or shedding that only you notice. It really depends on how well it was working for you and that is something that is very hard to determine.
