Can you have metal braces on top and Invisalign on lower teeth?

Just curious. I don't have to get lower braces for another nine months, but, for both aesthetic and curiosity's sake, would that be allowed? Metal braces on top teeth and Invisalign on the bottom, so I could compare the two and potentially recommend the options to friends? The top ones, I had two teeth pulled and have to bring two baby teeth in, but my lower ones are just slightly crooked on one side. I was just wondering if this could even be an option.

yes you can get braces on one arch and invisalign on the other.  This is usually done if the lower can't be done well with Invisalign and the more visible upper can be tx with invisalign.The problem in your case is that the doctor still has to pay the full invisalign lab fee so you will be charged more money to do it....

It is an option but doesn't really make sense. Invisalign charges the same to the doctor if they treat one arch or two. So, just get invisalign on both and be done.
