FDA approval? Metvix for Daylight PDT

Why does the FDA not approve Metvix for daylight photodynamic therapy in the US. Its efficacy in several studies has been proven to be equal to that of red/blue light therapies and it is much less painful for patients leading to more adherence and a willingness for follow up procedures. It’s available in Canada, the UK, 7 other European countries, Australia, New Zealand, and probably others. And the product is made in the US!!

Hi Pioneering, PDT has absolutely no effect on your fillers. Fillers are injected deeper into the skin, so you can even do them on the same day as PDT without any worries of compromising either treatment. Hope this helps! Dr. Monika Kiripolsky
