White hairs emerged after laser hair removal using Candela - how can I remove these hairs?

I had a single Candela gentle pro hair removal treatment on my face and neck. 2 weeks later I now have a bunch of hairs emerging that are all bright white. These were definitely not there before , im in my twenties and I have NO other white hair anywhere else. The settings where evidently set far too low killing melanocytes but not the generative bulb! is there anything I can do about this or to remove these hairs - presumably minus pigment no laser will work? electrolysis damages collagen

Laser hair removal works by targeting the pigment in the hair. In my opinion, new white hairs after treatment are most likely either hairs that were already fair or grey and are now more noticeable, or an uncommon but recognised effect where the laser damages the pigment cells in the follicle without destroying the follicle itself (leukotrichia). It isn't dangerous, but those white hairs won't respond to further laser because there's no pigment left to target. Electrolysis is usually the best option for them, and it's worth telling your practitioner so the settings can be reviewed if you're continuing treatment.
