Is a gum tattoo the solution for darker gums? (photo)

Hello, due I've always had darker gums which I'm happy with, however I have a small pink patch of gum above my front teeth which makes my smile look very unven. I was wondering what the best solution would be to even it out? I thought a gum tattoo/semi-permanent make up solution might work but I haven't come across anyone doing this on gums yet .
