I am a 32 y.o. female, currently on tray 2 of an Invisalign express 10 to correct crowding issues/deep bite. I have had prior ortho treatment twice, both in teen years. I also have TMJ issues. I was not given an option for full tx, and still do not understand why I was placed on express 10. Cost of treatment was not a concern of mine. I am considering a second opinion. My question is, considering my goal is just to have a nice smile, what benefit can full treatment have for me over the express treatment?

Answer: Invisalign Based on your photo, it looks like your teeth are considerably crowded. You would benefit from comprehensive treatment over limited treatment, and therefore, invisalign full would be a better option for you than invisalign express 10.

Answer: Invisalign Full vs Invisalign Express Dear rachel.l.32,Thank you for posting your question on Real Self. I will do my best to answer your question with the information given. The difference between Invisalign full treatment and Invisalign Express is the number of aligners provided to obtain optimal aesthetics and occlusion. I recommend speaking with your doctor to discuss the results that you expect. If you don't achieve the desired results with the express treatment, you can switch over to the full treatment. You will have to discuss with your doctor the fees that are incurred with upgrade. I hope this helps and good luck!Best, Dr. Jenn
