Is spironolactone to blame for my weight gain?

I have been taking spironolactone for about 8 months now and have noticed some weightgain. Read the side effects of spiro and it doesn't say anything about weight gain being a side effect, however I have noticed others saying they gained weight while taking it. Is it possible spiro could be causing my weight gain?

Spironolactone is a wonderful treatment option for hormonal acne.  Some people see improvement as soon as two weeks, while others can take two or three months to clear up.  Don't give up.  If that dose worked before it is likely to work again.  Just keep taking it faithfully and I believe you...
