A piece broke off my topback molar. The x-ray doesn't show that I need a root canal but when the doctor did a bite test it hurts when I bite on something with a lot of pressure. He suggested a zirconium crown and said that it’s a possibility that I need a root canal later. He would drill a whole on it if I need it. Today's technology why can I get a better scan to confirm that root canal is needed or not? Also how can a Zirconium crown be drilled without any damage! I'm sceptica
