Can I do laser surgery in cornea ulcer infected eyes? (Photo)

Question

I used to wear contact lens for 8 years but i had cornea ulcer 1 year ago and now it has been healed properly, but there is a light scar left in my eyes and and it is almost in the centre. Can I do laser surgery to correct my vision.

If your eyes are otherwise healthy, your corneas are of sufficient thickness, and your prescription is within the range that the lasers can correct, yes you probably can do laser surgery to correct your vision.  If the scar is affecting your vision even with glasses and contact lenses on, you may want to consider a variation of LASIK called PRK (also known as LASEK, or epi-LASIK).  This treatment can correct your prescription AND potentially reduce or eliminate your corneal scar, if the scar is close enough to the front surface of the cornea.

Hello dear,       If the scar is light (as you said) there would be no problem doing Lasik. if your all pre-Lasik test shows fine.But if your scars are deep, then you might have to consider some other treatment for yourself.
