Is This Discoloration a Hematoma or Seroma? (Photo)

hi im 27,non-smoker.6/7/12 got a breast lift w/700cc silicone unders. For a week ive had firm dark purple discoloration under one breast, my PS is out of state and wont answer my calls.. ive been to the ER 3 times: 1st visit- DR said "i refuse to even take your bra off and look" 2nd - DR said he wasnt alarmed. 3rd -said it was most likely bruising but wasnt sure. never even seen stitches like mine. i finally found a PS in my city but he cant see me for a week. im very depressed. thank you

It's so hard to tell on some photos but it may be hematoma but....it may also be some blistering and wound healing issues at the bottom of the incision, a very common place to have wound healing problems. You may in fact, have a little superficial (I hope) skin loss that can blister and drain...But you do need to be seen by your doctor or a Board Cert Plastic Surgeon....

Hi, the pictures are not very clear and do not show the other side, so its impossible to help make a diagnosis at this point. my advise is to find a local plastic surgeon willing to examine you soon or a local ER that has a plastic surgeon on call.

The discoloration is most likely due to bruising, however without good pictures comparing both breasts it is very difficult to answer. Symptoms and signs associated with hematoma such as swelling and pain must be assessed by physical examination, therefore it is imperative for you to seek consultation with a Board Certified plastic surgeon in your area at the earliest opportunity.

You need to post photos comparing the two side front view! Otherwise I would seek an in person consult with a "boarded" PS in your city ASAP.
