Is Hydroquinone 4% cream safe to lighten vaginal area and labia?

My genital areas are really dark almost black, whereas I am of fair complexion. I had used Eldoquin Forte 4% cream a few years ago on my face for acne scars and it worked. Can i use this for lightening my vaginal area?
