Most mouthrinses are fine. Stay away from Peridex for staining and Scope for turning certain materials green. Listerine is the standard against which all the others are compared. I have never read or witnessed any positive effect from whitening mouthrinses.
I routinely advise than my patients NEVER use any mouth rinses with alcohol. Breath Rx and Listerine Alcohol Free mouth rinses can be purchased at most pharmacies. The alcohol in the mouth rinse does almost nothing therapeutic and actually causes drying of the mucosa (skin inside the mouth). There are studies that clearly show the link between alcohol and oral cancer. Of course we're talking mostly about the many alcoholics who get oral cancer, but alcohol in mouth rinses is still alcohol.
You can use any mouthwash. It will not affect your dental bonding. You can use antiseptic or alcohol-free.
