Can I go for ICL? I have a very high power -14.00 in both eyes. The cornea thickness is 450.

I have a very high power -14.00 in both eyes.The cornea thickness is 450. I have also under gone a retina surgery in right eye due to a hole in it when i was in 3rd standard,now i am 27. I have one yes for ICL from Shroof clinic Mumbai,India and one NO from Dr. Prema Padmanabhan from shankar netralya.She told me that touching the eye to set lense may cause a problem. Please suggest if there is a way to do it safely because for me my eye is precious.

Yes, once your surgical measurements have been taken, you can resume wearing your RGP lenses. Even if they distort the shape of your cornea, your surgeon has already calculated what your proper ICL strength needs to be. I would still recommend you be out of your lenses for two days prior to...

Other than avoiding swimming and getting water in your eyes for two weeks post-surgery, and rubbing or getting hit in your eyes for the same period of time, there are no restrictions on activities after having ICL surgery.
