What are some common risks/cons that are associated with having titanium dental implants? Can the metal leach into the bloodstream? Any adverse effects on the body, hormones? Is titanium known to cause any fertility issues in women and/or pregnancy? ​Thanks!

Titanium dental implants are safe especially  if purchased from reputable implant companies that have years ofresearch  supporting their products. Titanium is biocompatible. As such it does not get rejected ( there is a risk infection as any surgery).  Titanium is also used in other orthopedic surgical procedures for joint replacements as an Elective surgery, dental implant treatment or any other elective surgery must be postponed til after pregnancy. This has nothing to do with the Titanium, but is to prevent compromising the pregnancy due to stress that the body endures during surgery, healing, and mefications.

Titanium does not leach into blood stream and there are known effects on fertility. It's a very safe material used in dentistry and orthopedics, has a very long record of being the safest materials used. The rate of healing of dental implants id over 98%.  the only risk factors are associate with poor bone and gum healing in patients are severely immunocompromised, uncontrolled diabetic, and heavy smokers.
