Is it ok if I can wait until the next check up day my dentist scheduled me & tell them that a bracket came off? (photo)

I was sleeping in the middle of the night, and i felt something wierd in my mouth. It was a bracket from my braces. The bracket came off and the wire was hanging out, but its not bothering me. So, it ok if can just wait for my next check up day and then tell my dentist that a bracket came off, or do i have to schedule an appointment immediately?
