Can I use Tri-Luma following a VI Peel? (photo)

Thank you for your question. Topical lightening products are often recommended to reduce post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation after a peel. Particularly if you were already on the treatment prior to the procedure. Usually it is safe to restart these products once your skin has returned to normal. This usually occurs between day 7-10 after the peel. This depends entirely on the patients skin type and needs to be advised to you by your aesthetician or dermatologist as they know your skin best. I suggest following with up with the practitioner who performed your peel for post op care instructions. Best, Dr. Emer.

In my experience, once the peeling and redness resolves after the peel, topical treatments may be resumed.
