Ask our mothers--each and every one of us is "the best" in our mothers' eyes. Ask our patients--oops, not one of us has 100% thrilled patients, but you can read reviews and get an idea. If someone "claims" to be best, then they would be subject to sanctions by our professional societies, and who would actually BELIEVE someone who is so self-absorbed to claim that (or even imply it) anyway? There is a fine line between confidence and cockiness, self-deprecation and humility, and recitation of training and accomplishments and touting of experience with "x-thousands" of operations.I really like Dr. Aldea's answer. Please read it (again). Do your homework yourself with multiple consultations, after first doing research into training, credentials, reviews, and photographic results of several ABPS-certified plastic surgeons. I would suggest that each and every one of us SHOULD claim that nobody can work harder or try to more effectively earn your trust--if any surgeon is not enthusiastic, energetic, and passionate about you and your result, or if they just seem to be "phoning it in" without really giving your outcome the highest priority (you are simply a Porsche payment), then run, don't walk, from THAT office and find someone else who REALLY cares. Sorry, no easy answer, or "best" list here. Best wishes! Dr. Tholen
