New crowns look awful​. Do dentists usually fix this at no additional cost? (Photo)

Usually, before you start to do your crowns, you talk to your doctor about your wishes, about your anatomy, your dental bite and about aesthetics! For me the crowns look a bit short, but maybe your doctor had a reason to do them this way. Better is to ask you dental office about this issue and about the reasons to do them this short and grey and if repleacement is possible.

This answer depends completely and the policies of your dental office wich in my advice you should have ask about them, even before your dental prosthesis and if you will feel comfortable having them re done in the same place, regardless of where you decide to do them I advise you to request a wax-mock-up or a smile design for you to approve the anatomy and color before they are completed and even when they are completed request to see them in mouth before permanently cemented.
