BLT 20/6/4% for Full Brazilian Laser Hair Removal. Is it safe?

I got laser hair removal through Ideal Image in Colorado Springs. The first session was easy. The second session felt like a tattoo. They didn't tell me they increase the laser intensity every time. The last time, my 6th session, I was jumping all over the place and trying not to yell because it hurt so badly. They offered me a stress ball and told me everything was fine. My skin was beet red. Now I have BLT 20/6/4% but no instructions. Is it safe? They laser the whole area each session.
