Black Triangles between new crowns - wait and see or replace crowns? (photos)

This is a tough issue to deal with due to the unpredictable nature of the gums in this area.  The situation is typically caused by the gum papilla (the part usually filling this area) blunting and opening a void.  Sometimes this may fill back in but it needs time if possible.  However, it is very likely it could not return and the black triangles remain.  If the triangles stay you could look into the crowns being replaced and modified to fill in the void areas better.

The papilla, the triangular shaped gum tissues between the teeth, can get "blunted" during the provisional stage of crown treatment.  Over several weeks, the tissues can return to their original shape.... but don't always.  Each case depends.  The best advice it to wait for a little while.  You CAN try using fillers (juvederm).  Sometimes the contours of the new crowns creates shadows and the tissues aren't deficient, just "darker".
