Will my class 2 elastics bring my maxilla back? (Photo)

I'm currently under going orthodontic treatment I have a class 2 div 1 minor overbite and overjet. I'm 5 months into treatment expanding my dental arcs with no extractions. The question is will the class 2 elastics bring my maxilla back where it's going to effect my facial structure? And is there any other way to bring lower teeth forward without retracting the uppers?

Hi Kimberley, I am sorry to hear you have had trouble seeing your orthodontist. You have two options ( I am assuming you have braces, not Invisalign): 1) Continue your care with your current orthodontist. A lot of people travel during summer and miss a couple of their orthodontic appointment....
