Is there a difference between Picosure and Lumenis PiQo4 Laser?

Question

Is there a difference between Picosure and Lumenis PiQo4 Laser? I am looking to treat my melasma. Will I still need a peel or a regiment to accompany the laser treatment? I am allergic to hydroquinone and have sensitive skin. Thank you.

Been using Picosure since the invention of this laser. It is excellent for skin rejuvenation in ethnic skin types, and is the stand out laser for GREEN tattoos. For other tattoos, even using the boost function and the small 2 mm spot, it runs out of power or rather the PD is too long after 3-4 sessions. Ideally a software update is needed. Cynosure makes great lasers, but updates are disappointing. Dr Davin Lim. Brisbane. Australia.

i have the Picosure laser by Cynosure and we are very pleased with it. You must use an excellent sunblock or your problem will recur. Also you cannot be lasered if you have a tan on your face. I was also wondering why you think you are allergic to HQ? if it is just some redness and peeling, then you are not allergic, but instead to decrease the frequency of use, in order to allow your skin to adapt to it. I looked up that other laser and it appears similar to the Picosure but to be honest, i would have to ask Cynosure for the difference between those two lasers.david berman d
