This is not an uncommon problem following surgeries of any kind. I have had gratiying results combining in-office manual (no need for the added expense and risks of RF microneedling) Dermastamp microneedling accompanied by the topical application of prescription strength pigment enhancers, such as topical tyrosine and lanatoprost. Vitiligo, on the other hand, is understood to be an autoimmune condition in which the body is attacking its own pigment (melanin)-producing cells (melanocytes) so that a medication, such as Opzelura, which suppresses an overactive autoimmune response, can be anticipated to be helpful. In this case, however, we are dealing with scar tissue, an entirely different issue. You would be wise to consult with a board certified cosmetic dermatologist with scar treatment experience.
