Can IPL be used for freckle and mole removal?

IPL is used to remove pigment and freckles for Fitzpatrick skin types I-III, not necessarily moles. It is not going to reduce the size of any raised lesions. It can be performed on all parts of the body and typically you would need about 3 or more sessions to achieve your desired results. Using sunscreen is effective to prevent new sunspots but it won't stop old sun damage from appearing. Photodamage happens in the deepest layer of the skin. It can take years before the damage surfaces and becomes visible.
