A turkey neck will not respond to retin A. Depending on the exact problem, Botox, radiofrequency, Coolsculpting, or surgery is going to work.
I routinely recommend using a retinoid on the neck, but it's not going to make a turkey neck better. It will help with tone and texture, but it won't tighten you. If you have a turkey neck, go to see an experienced physician who is well-versed in the cosmetic options that are available for you, whether that is surgical or nonsurgical,
Thanks for your question. Retin-A will help with the tone and texture on the surface of your skin. It will have no effect on the underlying fat. To permanently reduce the fat, you can have a neck lift/lipo, Kybella injections, CoolSculpting or SculpSure Submental. We have discontinued Kybella treatments in our practice for melting submental fat. The FDA recently approved the SculpSure laser for treating submental fat (double chins). It is a quick 25 minute, completely non-invasive treatment. In the FDA study, the participants had 100% satisfaction after 1 or 2 treatments. In the Kybella FDA studies, there is high satisfaction after an average of 6 treatments. I did SculpSure recently and it was only mildly uncomfortable. I had no noticeable swelling. With Kybella, you will have noticeable swelling for 1-4 weeks. The treatment cost for 1 SculpSure Submental is less than the average cost of 1 Kybella treatment. Before you consider CoolScupt, try holding an ice pack under your chin for 4 minutes. Now think about doing it for an hour. Best of luck.
