Recently I got My 2 front tooth crowned but I do not like the colour and shape ( as it dark and shows black triangles). He said he can redo them for me but he suggested that it may end up with a root canal as he need to drill off the crown and the nerve are very fragile. Is This right? He said alternatively he could rough the crown surface and add a layer of the filling material to change the color and also patch up the black triangles. Is This a good idea?

Depending on your retainer type , it could be reshaped-recontoured, if it is made out of acrylic or redone if it is an Essix(translucent acetate material covering all the teeth crowns)
