PRK haze and pain. What should I do?

I had PRK a month ago, today I woke up and everything was fine however during the middle of the day I noticed the vision on my right eye went hazy. After awhile the haze increased and now there is extreme pain on my right eye and it is hard to keep open. What should I do?

I recommend seeing your surgeon. It is possible that you have a corneal erosion or abrasion. In the mean time, keep your eyes as lubricated as possible by using preservative free artificial tears every 2 hours and resting your eyes.

You should see your surgeon now.You probably have a corneal abrasion. This happens when a small area of corneal epithelium (skin) has trouble sticking to the tissue underneath. This can happen after PRK but is usually short lived. There are ways to help reduce this risk so it's less likely to happen again. See your surgeon so other causes can be ruled out.
