Plasma Pen—how can I fix raw skin quickly?

Question

I got a PlasmaPen treatment about 4 days ago under eyes and above lip. Above my lip most of the scabs have flaked off, I did Pick at a few (which I know Is bad!). However, now I have super raw skin above my lip and almost looks like the dots are indented. Anything I can Put on to heal this quick? Under my eye still have not flaked off. When will that happen?

Lip lines do best with lasers and maintain with microneedling , microneedling RF or plasma pen (when done right this has a lot of complications if not done well). fillers like belotero can also be combined. at home peels like cosmelan, enlighten and aerify along with dermarolling (MTS roller with anteage MD  ampules weekly, see link) should be started now to prevent further aging. For facial rejuvenation, I would suggest a combination approach of 1) skin care with products and PRP/microneedling 2) PDT light therapy few times a month with growth factors 3) laser treatments like clear and brilliant regularly and a few times a year Fraxel/Halo, Viva, Co2/Erbium 4) Sculptra injections a few times a year for collagen production with fillers like juvederm/restylane/belotero/radiesse/bellafill 5) thermage/ultherapy for yearly skin tightening with or without PDO or cone based instalift threads for lifting 6) botox every 2-3 months to stop movement lines and prevent lines at rest 7) deep microneedling RF like Fractora/morpheus8/PiXel8 for tightening of the skin 8) Vascular laser like vbeam/ExcelV or BBL forever young treatment every quarter (3-4 months) Best, Dr. Emer.

Thank you for your question. It typically takes 5 to 7 days for the crusts to fall off. Do not pick at them as this can result in permanent scarring. I would contact your provider if you have any concerns regarding your results at this point. Most offices are putting their patients on Factor V Serum to promote healing. This product is rich in stem cell growth factors. Dryness and flaking can be common so it is important to use a good moisturizer as well.I hope this was helpful - Dr. Moore.

If the skin is still raw at this point it could be a sign of a mild infection. I would wash the skin with an antibacterial soap and apply neosporin or bacitracin the area. I recommend following up with the treating provider to inspect your skin. It may just be delayed healing, but it is better to be safe.
