I had Mohs surgery on my scalp 3 months ago. It was healing well but I started notice something spitting it’s way out.

I had Mosh surgery on my scalp 3 months ago. It was healing well but I started notice something spitting from it, maybe a stitch. The area near it is getting a little pink and it hurst when I touched it. Should I use some Vaseline on it? How to prevent scaring ? Any suggestions please. Thanks.
